As you explore God’s call in your life, you may find helpful information at the following resources and programs.
Discerning the Call
Is God leading you
in the direction of ordained ministry?
If you answered "yes" or "maybe", Discerning the Call could be very helpful to you!
Persons between 16 and 25 years of age who are interested in discerning their call to ministry are invited and encouraged to attend. This October 2008 event is designed to help you frame your questions about ministry and to point you in the direction of where to find answers.
The Pastoral Leadership Search Effort (PLSE, pronounced ‘pulse’) helps to identify and cultivate gifted young people interested in exploring the ministry as a possible vocation.
The General Board of Global Ministries has information that can help you to explore if your calling may be in volunteer or professional missionary service.
The Louisiana Conference offers the Discerners Academy to lead discerners in exploring their call in light of their talents, skills, gifts, and the needs of the world in which they live. It consists of six weekend retreats over a period of two years.
The Christian Leadership Center, a pre-professional program offered at Centenary College of Louisiana, is designed to help you discover your God-given calling through exploring church-related vocations and developing leadership skills within a diverse community of faith.
